Dr. Smith has deep roots in our surrounding communities. She was born and raised in Modesto, CA. At the young age of 4 years old she found her calling and made it her life’s mission to become a veterinarian. Since then she’s spent most of her time seeking the best way to help those animals who cannot help themselves. She graduated with her Bachelor of Animal Science degree from UC Davis in 2015 and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in 2019.
From Downey High to UC Davis and through Midwestern University she was always pushing herself to make a difference in this world. Many may know her through her community work with Girl Scouts of America or the Stanislaus Guide Dogs for the Blind Puppy raising club. From 2020-2024 she worked exclusively in emergency veterinary medicine and found herself thriving in the chaos. She enjoys using her spare time to help teach first aid and basic emergency veterinary medicine seminars. However, when she has the availability she likes going to local schools to try to inspire other boys and girls in our area to enter the STEM workforce and kindle a passion for science.
She has a golden retriever (Fairfax), pitbull (Dozer), german shepherd (Calypso), frenchie (Gypsy), chihuahua (Tito), two cats (Kiara and Phoebe), two conures (Merry and Pippin), a ball python (Khaleesi), two turtles (Crush and Bowser), and two fish tanks at home to keep her busy. In her downtime Dr. Smith loves hiking, camping, going to classic rock shows and traveling with her husband and two kids as much as possible.
